Happy Birthday Leon!

At Mazel Day School, we celebrate the children's Hebrew birthdays! We had the opportunity to have our first celebration of the year with our friend Leon! His family came to celebrate as well. The children made cards for Leon and helped bake his birthday cake. We wrote out the recipe and followed it as we went along. Of course this was a fantastic opportunity to teach some math as we were using measuring cups and spoons to measure the ingredients. During the party, the children each wished Leon a special birthday wish. We also took this opportunity to do a mitzvah and give tzedakah. We then danced around our birthday boy and ate delicious cake! Thank you to Leon and his family for the party favors. The children are really excited to use them!
