Our Favorite Part of the Book!

We have learned so much with regard to our reading skills. Kindergarten knows: 

• A book has a front and back cover
• What a title is
• What the author does
• What an illustrator does
• Who a character is
• They can tell you the setting of a story
• What their favorite part of the story is

We recently learned a story has a beginning, middle and end. When you read to your children, ask them what happened at the beginning of the story, what came next and what happened at the end? It will be a great review for them.

Morah read a story and the children broke up into groups to discuss and illustrate the story. This also helped them work on team work and sharing space to come up with one idea.
