Israeli Food Day!

Kindergarten learned about Israel! We learned various landmarks and foods. We also spoke about what a day in the life of a child is like in Israel. Morah Dawn's brother lives in Israel and his daughter wrote a letter to kindergarten. She wrote about how she lived in America and moved to Israel. She described different foods they eat in Israel such a falafel, shwarma and different types of chocolates to name a few. She also spoke about how she is graduating high school soon and after high school, the boys go to the army and the girls do national service...which is helping your country in some way or another.
To celebrate learning about Israel, we made out very own falafels! We cut the vegetables ourselves, put the chummus and salad in the pita and topped it off with falafel balls. What a yummy treat!
