Morah would pretend we had a candy store and every gumdrop was a certain amount of money. For example, if the gumdrop was 7 cents, the children learned they could pay by giving 7 pennies or by giving 1 nickle and 2 pennies. The children are having so much fun learning all about how to count and use money.

Kindergarten Learns about Money!
Kindergarten is learning all about money! We started off learning the names of the coins and how much they are worth. We know a penny is 1cent and has Abraham Lincoln on it. We also learned it is a copper color. We soon moved on to nickle learning it's 5 cents and a dime is 10 cents.
